What is Boudoir Photography

Questions and Answers

What is the Boudoir Experience all about? Having fun and boosting your self confidence… while giving your significant other an amazing gift! Your comfort is key to a successful and fun Boudoir experience. Clients are either ready, nervous, or frightened… but it won't take long before your comfortable and feeling great about yourself! You’re a woman and YOU ARE beautiful! Lots of brides request these sessions as gifts for the groom to be. This is a hot new trend!

Who should do a session? You don't need the "perfect body" to look stunning in our boudoir images. We strive to emphasize your best assets and minimize the less than perfect to show the beauty of YOU. Your man loves you the way you are right now anyway, These intimate and fun pictures are something he will cherish forever.

Prior to the shoot: Talk to the photographer about what kind of photo's you had in mind. Or just let her know how sexy or intimate you want your shots to be and let her get creative.

The day of the shoot: Upon arrival to your photo session, be ready to change into your outfit. Please be as close to ready as possible as time will only allow a few minutes to do make-up. Upon request for the marathon shoots, their may be a hair-stylist/ make-up artist available. Come relaxed and be ready to rock that sexy body!

What should you bring? You can bring whatever you want to wear during the shoot, lingerie, hubby's jersey or shirt & tie. That special teddy bear or object that means something to you both. A variety of outfits is best, and also photos or poses from a magazine are great so you have an idea of where to start. Bring the biggest high heals you can find, fish net stockings, a sexy hat, boa, lace and anything else you'd like to use for props. The photographer may have a few props and ideas up her sleeve as well!

Do you have to shoot nude: NO! These session are more PG-13 than R rated. Only implied nudity is what we strive for in photos. A bare back, a nude shot with everything hidden to leave something to be desired is very sexy! But you are not obligated to show anymore than you are comfortable with.

Session Location: Boudoir sessions traditionally take place in the client's home, or even in a luxurious hotel suite. Choice of location is entirely up to you. The most important factor in determining location is to make sure it is comfortable, and that there are no distractions.
Friends and Family: You are free to bring anyone with you whom you feel will add to your enjoyment of the session without distracting you or the photographer, however, most women tend to relax more in front of the camera when there are no observers on the set. Children are not allowed to this type of session.

After the shoot: You will receive an online gallery, password protected, for your eyes only. Unless of course you decide to share, which is totally up to you. No image of you will ever be made available to anyone without your written permission. Your privacy is always respected, and no one except the photographer and anyone else you allow will be present at your session or view your photos. If you are interested in allowing the photographer permission to use your choice images for advertizing please let her know. From here, order your prints, flip books or items you'd like to provide to your honey! *Post on my blog are only from clients that have given me the okay to do so*
